Non-Surgical Facelift in Washington, DC

If your daughter’s wedding is in the spring and you’ve been dreading the photos, a non-surgical facelift in Washington, DC can soften the lines around your eyes, nose and mouth in an afternoon.
At DC Derm Docs, board-certified dermatologists Dr. Anju Pabby and Dr. Marilyn Berzin perform the liquid facelift with Botox and dermal fillers, with no incision, no anesthesia and little to no downtime.
Is a Non-Surgical Facelift in Washington, DC Right for Your Event?
You may have noticed that the folds from your nose to the corners of your mouth look deeper in photos than they do in the mirror. Or perhaps the skin under your eyes looks tired by mid-afternoon, and your concealer has stopped hiding it. Many of our patients in their late 40s to 60s come in for exactly this reason, a wedding, an anniversary or a reunion, and they want to look like themselves on a well-rested day.
Your Facelift Consultation With Dr. Isaacson or Dr. Berzin
At the start of your consultation, you and your dermatologist will look at your face together in a hand mirror, first at rest and then while you smile and talk. Then, they’ll ask you to point out what bothers you most and tell them the date of your event. Based on what you show them, they’ll typically suggest Botox for the lines around your eyes and between your brows, and filler for the folds around your nose and mouth.
Keep in mind that most board-certified dermatologists, like Dr. Berzin, will recommend booking at least two weeks before the event. That way, any small bruise has time to fade and there’s room for a touch-up.
What Happens During Your Non-Surgical Facelift
Once the plan is set, you’ll recline in the treatment chair while your dermatologist cleans and marks each area. Many of the dermal fillers they use, such as Juvéderm Ultra Plus XC, contain a numbing agent, so after the first pinch you’ll mostly feel pressure. You may feel a series of small pinches as they place the Botox, followed by a slow, firm pressure as the filler goes into your folds. The whole treatment can take as little as 30 minutes.
Recovery and Results After Your Facelift
You’ll see the filler’s effect before you leave, while the Botox softens your lines over the following week or two. Afterward, you can typically go back to work or dinner the same day, though you may notice some slight swelling or a small bruise for a few days. Filler results can last up to a year, and Botox can last up to four to five months, so for a non-surgical facelift in Washington, DC before a spring wedding, one visit in late winter usually does it.
When Another Treatment May Fit Better Than a Non-Surgical Facelift in Washington, DC
In the event your main concern is sun spots or uneven texture, your dermatologist may suggest adding a laser treatment. If the skin along your jaw has started to loosen, Thermage may be a better fit.
