Over the past several years, many men and women have undergone non-surgical body contouring to target excess fat and shrink their waistlines. However, all of these treatments focus on fat reduction and discount an essential component of shaping and defining the abdomen – muscle.

Fortunately, Emsculpt is a new and revolutionary technology that simultaneously burns fat and builds muscle. It’s also the world’s only non-invasive butt lift and a safe and effective alternative to a surgical or injectable augmentation.

Here’s everything you need to know about this innovative procedure.

What Is EmSculpt?

While other treatments offer a circumferential reduction of fat, Emsculpt increases muscle mass, decreases subcutaneous fat, and defines the abdomen. It’s also able to lift, firm, and strengthen the gluteal region for a more toned and shapely backside.

What’s the Science Behind Emsculpt?

Science is the basis for Emsculpt’s reliable and impressive results. This non-invasive device uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to initiate a series of 20,000 supramaximal muscle contractions, which are more powerful than voluntary muscle contractions.

More specifically, during voluntary muscle contraction, muscle fibers are able to relax after each nervous stimulus. However, Emsculpt generates muscle contraction so rapidly that there is not a period of relaxation.

As a result, Emsculpt causes intense destruction of fat cells, stimulates deep remodeling of muscle tissue, and produces a slimmer, stronger, and well-defined abdomen and butt.

How Many Emsculpt Treatments Are Necessary?

Each treatment lasts 30 minutes and doesn’t require any anesthesia, incisions, or downtime. For best results, a series of 4 sessions spaced 2-3 days apart is recommended.

Is Emsculpt Painful?

Emsculpt is a very comfortable procedure, and patients are able to recline while the device does all of the work. The treatment feels similar to an intense workout, and normal activities can be resumed immediately after.
